First Official Trailer of Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

To anyone complaining about Coulson not really dying in Avengers you clearly haven’t read a marvel comic book that had or even just mentioned Nick Fury (and how much of a lying manipulative asshole he really is) in it.

HAHAHA! I remember seeing this for the first time and I said

“They can’t possibly make a worse twist on the Mandarin than this!”

Comic book geek confession #8

I first became a fan of Iron Man after playing as him in X-Men Legends. He kicked ass in that game.

I find the conclusion of X-Force’s journey into Otherworld in Uncanny X-Force #23 very satisfying.

(Spoilers ahead)

This is one story that really left me satisfied with its ending. I’m not entirely sure whether it’s because the ending is really that good or surprising. I didn’t realize it was going to end right there. It didn’t have the “x of y” usually found in comics, which I’ve always hated. Seriously, it’s like watching a movie you’ve never seen before with a scroll bar at the bottom to tell you how much longer the movie lasts. Imagine watching The Dark Knight for the first time with that on, giving away the fact that the movie’s not about to end when the Joker got captured spoiling the surprise that it’s not over yet.

Anyway, where was I? Right, X-Force. It’s not just the ending that was good. the first couple of pages that depict the Braddocks in their childhood days and their relationships with each other. Which made the ending so much more emotional when Betsy forces Brian to kill Jamie via mind control to save the omniverse. The entire part after Betsy reveals the Goat’s identiy to Brian was heartbreaking until the end as Jamie keeps talking about the “Braddock brothers together at the end of reality” which couldn’t have helped Brian at all.

Betsy’s last words as she leaves her brothers were a bit pointless and just mean in my opinion, telling Brian that Brian made Betsy control him to kill Jamie instead of doing it on his own so Brian gets to remain the “good” guy. I mean, couldn’t that have waited until Jamie was buried or something? But it does leave a statement about both of their personalities, especially Betsy’s. Betty’s a part of X-Force after all, doing what others are not willing to do.
